I attended the Account Planning Group’s, Annual Conference at the Royal Institution a couple of weeks back. Entitled ‘On The Contrary’ ,a great line-up included Martin Weigel, Nick Chater, Tor Garnett and Clive Stafford Smith. Mark Ritson delivered a predictably provocative discourse.

How an Airbnb illustrator is using pictures to diversify the company’s image. ‘When she asked her coworkers what they most wanted to change about the illustrations—ones that showed stick-figures holding up cameras, or trading keys to their apartments—it wasn’t the inconsistent style that bothered people. It was who the illustrated people looked like.

This is how the Earth and the Universe will end (assuming we don’t ignore global warming…) – ‘The Earth…will die engulfed by an expanding, aging Sun. The Sun will burn off all of its fuel and end up a white dwarf, then burn out and die. The Milky Way will collide with nearby Andromeda, and form a large, elliptical galaxy, which will die by losing all of its stars to intergalactic space.’
